Buffalo Bandits

The Buffalo Bandits of the National Lacrosse League have been the most successful professional sports franchise in Buffalo. The Bandits have graced the Buffalo sports frontier since 1992, winning the Major Indoor Lacrosse League Championship in their first season. They have won four Championships, the most recent being in 2008. The Bandits have also appeared in four other Championship games coming up short.

They originally played home games at Buffalo Memorial Auditorium from 1992 to 1996, before moving into HSBC Arena for the 1997 season.

The Bandits have had some great players, led by John Tavares, who holds almost all of the teams scoring records, Steve Dietrich and Mark Steenhuis. Also, Hall of Fame coach Les Bartley, who led the team to three of their Championships…
